Dear Students,
Interior architecture is an inherently interdisciplinary field dedicated to designing, detailing, and implementing authentic spaces that elevate the quality of life and human comfort across both public and private environments, generating tailored solutions grounded in aesthetic sensitivity and user needs.
The profession demands a keen eye for observation and rigorous research, the analytical capability to translate empirical insights into design, and an innovative, environmentally responsible mindset capable of delivering original solutions. Accordingly, the academic curriculum of the Department of Interior Architecture within Yalova University’s Faculty of Art and Design is structured to nurture creative, forward-thinking designers guided by universal design principles. We aim to graduate professionals who hold strong social and environmental awareness, embody ethical integrity, preserve cultural heritage while embracing global values, and approach both national and worldwide challenges with critical insight and intellectual tolerance.
By integrating technological progress with contemporary pedagogical standards, our department is committed to advancing the profession of interior architecture. We take pride in educating principled, research-driven interior architects who master project planning and execution, manage time effectively, and synthesize scientific, technological, and artistic perspectives into dynamic design practice with profound social and cultural awareness.
