Purpose of Interior Architecture Department The Department of Interior Architecture, which is within the body of the Faculty of Arts and Design of Yalova University, will take students for the 2019-2020 academic year, and will give a diploma at the undergraduate level as a result of the education of Interior Architecture for 4 years. In the future, efforts are also made to open the Master's program. Education and training in the Department of Interior Architecture; It is conducted as theoretical lessons and practical workshops, and it is equipped with various activities such as scientific and artistic seminars, study tours. Interior Architect is trained in new designs and their economic solutions within the framework of architectural interior organization, develops new designs for modern and technological production methods and the use of new materials.
The working areas of interior architects are; He develops preliminary design suggestions for the intended form of the space, and acts as a decision maker in the process until the end of the applications in the dimensioning of the furniture and other space elements specific to the design, the type of production, the selection of the materials to be used in production, the shape and color of the products used in the space, and their positioning in the space. It undertakes the task of making the necessary designs and decisions related to the reorganization of the space in use. It develops designs and arrangements in accordance with social and artistic traditions and cultures in interior arrangements of buildings and structures of historical nature.
